Includes her diaries (1921-1928) while attending Fargo, N.D. Central High School and from Jamestown College, Jamestown, N.D. They relate her personal experiences and readers get a sense of the culture of the times. There is a series of scrapbooks that include collected and her own poetry and other writings, years at Jamestown College, cartoons, newspaper clippings, and abouttrips to Cuba, Panama, New Orleans, Mexico and California.

Grace Watkins was born in Fargo and graduated from Central High School, she graduated from Jamestown College. She received in MA degree in 1927 from the University of Iowa. She taught at Jamestown College, Huron College and many years at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minn.
